END AND BEYOND

END AND BEYOND

Not an hour passed, let alone a day

indifference, dropped; for some other time

but that time was not far, for it turned around fast

buried, it should have been, to let it not cast.

.

Not a day passed, let alone a week

greatness, felt; to be forever

not as against others, for thyself prime

for time turned again

realizing it wasn’t even worth a dime.

.

Indifference or greatness, don’t matter then

its after a while that you realize

all that time, no low all high

now getting high is a far cry.

.

At then, you wait restless though

for atleast it came, no anger so

to forget what happened in the day

for good happens rare

to start all over and make hay.

.

Feeling like a fool

that then, was pride, yes I am

yes I am, in that big stride

different from what you feel now

‘coz you gave your all

but not good enough was your best

but blame has to rest

but finger to be pointed

but avoid, keep that anger

inside you, under the hood

the state you are in, not thoughtful

of, for you, what’s bad what’s good

.

What’s bad what’s good, for good you strive

to make a life and not just survive

go back, go back to what you wrote once

yes, the quiet burial, back by few months

started with seven, ended at five

the sins you were not able to define

.

Learn, put a stop, the urge to blame

take the biggest sin at the edge of the flame

no mistrust, no mistrust was ever planted

all you did was, you took her for granted.

.

Say love has a mind of its own

refute, to the core, cease the bond

for power lies, not in love

but in end and beyond

end, not to stop the selfless lies

but instead, Energy Never Dies.

hmmmm... after a hiatus, the poet is back...

thoda heavy hai....

"all you did was, you took her for granted" - mujhe totally negative toh nahi laga, but those who haven't read '21 or unlucky 7' or 'the quiet burial' will not get those references...

but a different genre altogether... loved the novelty in the attempt.. mera hamesha mushy mushy hota hai aur tera stark, but the starkness here is softened by the love from a broken heart.. and best part, it doesnt get bitter about break ups or heart breaks... aur jo ek anger ke expression se chalu hui thi poem, woh bhi kam ho gayi gradually..

so, in totality, i loved it.. keep writing :)))

@souvik i need to go back to my original style. dark and deep. sarcastic and crazy. i would hate to be a matured poet now!

@sudhanshu nothing "too good" about it man... just that sometimes words are hard to come by! so lack of good words lead to crazy sentence structures maybe.
